Instructions for Authors

The first step for an author is to register as a user of this site and to register as an Author.

The manuscripts sent for publication to the Sarajevo Journal of Mathematics cannot be already published or submitted to another journal at the same time.

Manuscripts MUST be submitted using the online submission system. We do NOT accept submissions by mail.

The preferred format of manuscripts sent for publication is PDF. Manuscripts should be typed using double spacing with generous margins. The recommended length of the manuscript should not exceed 16 pages of A4 written in 12pt font. It should have a precise and informative title, starting with an abstract of less than 150 words. The first page must contain the 2020 Mathematics Subject Classification, keywords, and phrases. The theorems and other statements should be clearly numbered to distinguish the author's results from any known results. The literature should be listed at the end, in alphabetical order, followed by the affiliation(s) of the author(s). Journal abbreviations used in references are accessible from zbMATH or Mathematical Review web pages. A running head proposed by the author(s) with less than 50 characters is welcome.

Upon acceptance of the paper, the authors will be asked to supply a LaTeX file of their manuscript. Additionally, the figures used in manuscript should be supplied as separate files in Postscript (name.eps). Authors are encouraged to use SJM-prepared style file (download Template-SJM.texTemplate-SJM.pdfexample.eps) when preparing their papers.

Note: All submitted manuscripts are checked for plagiarism using iThenticate (Plagiarism Detection Software). When plagiarism is detected, depending on the percentage, the Editorial Board will decide whether to suggest certain corrections to the author(s) or eventually reject the manuscript (in extreme cases, a decision may be made not to allow future submissions by the author(s)).
